A 3-year-old child was trapped in a 40-feet deep borewell at Kull village in Bihar's Nalanda area. The child, whose name was Shivam, was dragged out alive. After several hours of hard work, the jawans succeeded. After coming out, the medical team checked up the child.
Bihar NDRF team officer Ranjit Kumar said the child is fine and has been rescued. He has now been sent to the hospital for a checkup and was rescued after 5 hours of hard work.
As soon as the child was taken out, an ambulance was present and admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. A team of doctors was also present there. Now Shivam is quite healthy and is also responding.
Locals said that the child was following his mother in the field when suddenly his foot slipped. He slipped and fell into a 40-feet deep well, and his cries could be heard.
Word of the child getting stuck in the borewell spread like wildfire throughout the area, so crowds of people flocked from all around. After informing the police about the incident, the police also reached the spot. A JCB was immediately summoned to the spot and rescue operations were carried out. Seeing the situation, teams of NDRF and SDRF were called to the spot. The rescue team immediately delivered oxygen to the borewell and monitored it through cameras.

Villagers said that a borehole was being dug for irrigation in the village in which the child fell. The child's mother said that she was working in the field and the child was playing outside when she suddenly slipped and fell into the borewell.
