Many festivals are celebrated in our country. Our country is connected with many cultures and many religions. We celebrate every religious festival but national festivals are also very important in our country. 

15th August and 26th January are our national festivals. We celebrate these festivals with pomp. Many years ago, our country was ruled by the British and many leaders and people of our country fought for the fact that the British were oppressing us. 

Many people and jawans were also martyred in this fight against the British. Many people participated in this fight and finally on the midnight of 15th August 1947 our country was freed from slavery. We celebrate this day as Republic Day.

When our country became independent, the people of our country were very happy and then they took down the national flag of the British and hoisted the flag of our country. When the people breathed a sigh of relief after ending the slavery of the British, they burst crackers and celebrated it with great fanfare across the country.

We also celebrate 26th January as Republic Day. In the year 1950, the Constitution of India came into force. And due to the union of India with the British, our country became a fully republican country.

India became independent on August 15, but they did not have a permanent constitution, instead a revised colonial law based on the government of India act 1935 was implemented. And the country was considered under the British rule of King George V and all the charges were handled by the British government.

Before 1930, some Indian political parties openly declared their goal of independence from the United Kingdom. The All India Home Rule League demanded self-rule for India under the British Common Health of countries like Australia and Canada.
